poursuivre au sein de l' U.N.A.P.E.I. l'étude et la défense des intérêts moraux et matériels des enfants et adultes handicapés mentaux ; entretenir entre les familles adhérentes l'esprit familial et de solidarité nécessaire et apporter pour leurs enfants l'appui matériel et moral indispensable ; venir en aide aux familles par des renseignements et des conseils et promouvoir et mettre en oeuvre tout ce qui pourrait être nécessaire pour le meilleur développement physique, intellectuel et moral de leurs enfants, création et gestion d'établissements appropriés tendant à l'éducation, la rééducation, l'adaptation, la mise au travail, l'insertion sociale, l'accueil, l'organisation des loisirs, trouver une solution adaptée à l'évolution du handicap en favorisant au maximum le maintien dans ses structures, et éventuellement pour les personnes handicapées totalement privées de famille et de soutien, un suivi personnalisé de l'association, une aide à la protection juridique et la prise en charge complète de toute la vie de la personne, le tout dans un cadre et une atmosphère familiale et dévouée
